IrfanView 4.40 / IrfanView Sandbox released

By Jewe | August 5, 2015

IrfanView 4.40 has been released and along with it, IrfanView Sandbox as part of the IrfanView plug-ins bundle.

There is already a minor update to the IrfanView Sandbox plug-in. You can download it from the IrfanView Sandbox home page.

IrfanView 4.40 comes with full 64-bit support, and so does the filter sandbox plug-in. Support for very large images has been greatly improved in Version 1.3.

However, the underlying Windows GDI sub-system does not support images larger than 2 GB. The filter sandbox will notify you, if a script uses a GDI function on an image larger than 2 GB.

Version 1.3 adds a vast amount of new effects, classes, methods and scripting features. It features the latest version of the JewelScript language and supports single- and multiple-inheritance, should you need it. ;)

To familiarize yourself with the new scripting interface, have a look at the IrfanView Sandbox documentation.
